Help with Hoarding Behavior

Are you at risk of losing your home due to hoarding?

There are several resources that can help if you or someone you know is hoarding:

  • Hoarding Handbook from North Penn Legal Services – this includes information about legal rights, how to request reasonable accommodations, and the steps to take if facing eviction due to hoarding.
  • If you live in Pennsylvania and are receiving services through Behavioral HealthChoices, they may also be able to provide help for hoarding behavior.

What is Behavioral HealthChoices?

Mental health and drug and alcohol services provided via the HealthChoices. Each HealthChoices consumer is assigned a Behavioral Health Managed Care Organization (BH-MCO) based on his or her county of residence. Members, then, have a choice of behavioral health care providers within the BH-MCO’s network.
